When 1 in 4 Colorado women and 1 in 17 Colorado men will face an attempted or completed sexual assault in their lifetime, a statement needs to be made to bring awareness to the issue and fight back. The Blue Bench is a organization in Denver which seeks to eliminate sexual assault and its impact on individuals by providing comprehensive issue advocacy, prevention, and care. Blue Bench has a new awareness campaign, and asked the sign experts at Magnify Signs to help with signage.
Pictured above is a 11.75 by 7.75 inch plague made from Rowmark material. This material is made of double-layered PVC, where the layer on the face has one color, and another color is revealed when the top layer is engraved into. The above plaque uses a gray and white combination, and is dedicated to one of the organization’s donors, Dr Phil Stahel of Denver Health.
As of now, this is the only plaque installed, but there will be many more to come. With a donation of $2,500, the Blue Bench will dedicate one of these plaques to the donor, and put it on a bench to be placed wherever you like, such as a park, library, or even your office lobby. This is a part of their Blue Bench Campaign, and the organization hopes to have 40 bench plaques placed in the near future.
